UCP FAQS

How do I calculate my GPA with the UCP GPA Calculator?

Enter each subject's letter grade and its credit hours into the UCP GPA Calculator. The tool converts each grade to the UCP grade point, multiplies by credit hours, sums the results, and divides by total credits to show your GPA instantly.

How is CGPA different from GPA?

GPA is your grade-point average for a single semester or term. CGPA (Cumulative GPA) is the weighted average of all semesters. Our calculator can compute both — enter multiple semesters or all courses to get your CGPA.

What grading scale does UCP use?

UCP uses the standard letter-to-point scale (A = 4.00, A- = 3.67, B+ = 3.33 ... F = 0). Our UCP GPA Calculator uses this scale by default so your results match university rules.

Can I include Pass (P), Incomplete (I), or Withdrawal (W) grades?

Yes — non-numeric grades like P, I, and W are supported but handled differently: Pass (P) doesn't affect GPA, I and W are excluded until resolved. The calculator shows how these grades are treated.

What if my course uses a 10-point scale (S, A, B ...)?

If your transcript uses a different scale, choose the matching grading option in the calculator or convert to UCP's 4.0-equivalent scale using the provided conversion table before calculating.

Is the UCP GPA Calculator accurate for official transcripts?

Our calculator follows the UCP grading rules and provides accurate estimates. For official verification, always refer to your university transcript or registrar — this tool is for quick calculations and planning.

How do I enter credit hours and subject grades?

For each subject, select its letter grade and enter the credit hours (e.g., 3.0). Repeat for all subjects — the calculator will compute weighted GPA automatically.

Is my data private when I use the calculator?

Yes. The calculator runs in your browser and does not send grades or credits to external servers (unless you use an export/share feature). Always check the site’s privacy statement for details.
